Dr Anil Kumar BT is a distinguished Nephrologist and a Transplant Physician in Karnataka. He has been trained under a renowned Nephrologist, Late Professor Dr JCM Shastri in Hyderabad. In 2013 he went to Netherlands for a short training in Kidney transplantation. Since 2007 onwards he is heading the Nephrology and Kidney transplantation department in BGS Gleneagles Global Hospitals, which is a super specialty quaternary care hospital. The department has a DNB training program too.
With experience spanning more than two decade, his expertise is mainly in Kidney Transplantation. He initiated the Renal Transplant program in BGS Gleneagles Global hospital and has done more than 700 kidney transplants. He has the credit of doing the largest number of ABO incompatible and Deceased donor kidney transplants in Karnataka. He also has the expertise in doing HLA incompatible, Paired exchange and Paediatric kidney transplants.
